Gender School 2024- Course on Gender, SRHR, Emotional Wellbeing Completed 1st session on Emotional Wellbeing

The Gender School Program for Emotional Wellbeing, organized by Space: A Foundation for Peace and Care, was held on 27th and 28th September 2024, followed by a half-day review session on 2nd October 2024. This impactful program brought together high school students aged 16 and above University students, as well as other participants, to foster emotional wellbeing and gender sensitivity among young individuals.
The event was facilitated by two renowned professionals in the field of mental health—Ms. Monira Rahman, Executive Director of the Emotional Wellbeing Foundation, and Ms. Reefat Munmun, an individual mental health wellbeing professional. Both facilitators provided insightful guidance and created a supportive environment where participants were encouraged to explore their emotional wellbeing, gender and the importance of mental health care.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions that focused on understanding emotional wellbeing and coping strategies for stress and mental health challenges. The review session on 2nd October provided a platform for participants to reflect on their learnings, share experiences, and discuss how they could implement these skills in their daily lives.
This program represents a significant step toward promoting emotional and mental wellbeing in high school students, empowering them to build resilience, enhance their emotional literacy, and become more inclusive and empathetic individuals. Space: A Foundation for Peace and Care continues to lead initiatives that address mental health and gender sensitivity, helping shape a healthier, more understanding future generation.
